  1. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences in this blog. I just stumbled across this while googling "Rosslyn" and "teacher blogs". I have received invaluable knowledge and insight through your posts. We're a Christian family in Denver, CO and have been thinking about applying to Rosslyn for a few years now. It is my husband's dream to return to Africa to teach (we taught for one year in Malawi over 11 years ago...pre-kids and full of idealistic expectations) and I've been the one blocking him out of fear. Your posts specifically on fear, simplifying and cultural fatigue have been esp. insightful and God is using them to highlight areas of weakness in me. I hope you don't mind if we continue to follow your blog! Sincerely, Julie Mitchell

    1. Julie,

Thanks for the comment! We also perused various Rosslyn teachers' blogs before and after applying. We'd both be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have about life here in Nairobi in general or at Rosslyn in particular. We also taught overseas (France) for a year about 11 years ago just after getting married, so we seem to have parallel journeys. Rather than using the contact form, email us at hintonsabroad AT yahoo DOT com or kirkh AT rosslynacademy DOT com and we can chat more! Looking forward to hearing from you!

      Best,
      Kirk
